Events I have previously attended!!!

My first event after being crowned! I immediately was invited to help with the Orange Rotary Golf Tournament and met some very talented golfers in the area! I even spotted an A2Z basket that was being auctioned off! Such a fun time and I hope I get to do more of these events in the future!

Treats in the Streets is a fun safe way for children in Orange to collect candy and parade their festive costumes! I was honored to sing the National Anthem and lead the Pledge of Allegiance in addition to running the costume parade for all of the dressed up kids!

Sharanya Mukhopadhay (Miss South Coast 2011) invited myself and Former Miss Tustin Sarah Salazaar to perform for her St. Jude's Communication Recovery Group's Harvest Festival! We had a great time helping serve lunch and provide the afternoon entertainment with songs and dancing! I do hope I get the opportunity to attend more of these events, because they were a lot of fun and I love spending time with Sharanya!

A2Z flowers invited Rachel Berry (Miss Orange County 2011) and myself for their Grand Re-Opening in Orange!!! The mayor was there among many other council members and volunteers. The event included a ribbon cutting ceremony and provided tasty treats and entertainment provided by yours truly! Katie Wayland (then my 2nd Runner-Up) and I sang the duet "For Good" from Wicked!

The Veteran's Day Memorial was a beautiful afternoon surrounded by veterans of all generations. I felt honored to proudly sing the National Anthem for these brave men and women. I was even escorted by the two gentlemen pictured above for the traditional walk where I placed a rose at each plaque recognizing every branch of the military. Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez was also in attendance and after speaking with her I discovered she used to compete in the Miss America program too! I can definitely tell that she is a very intelligent and poised woman, obviously a Miss America grad!

The Beckstrand Teddy Bear Ball was an event that raised money for the Mini Pearls of Beckstrand and goes directly to aiding children who are struggling with cancer. I met personally with Jillian, the blonde young lady pictured, and she is the founder of the Mini Pearls of Beckstrand! Doing amazing things at such a young age! They had so many different activities including a balloon artist who created a mini bear and other animals for the kids! There was also a photobooth which was a very popular item and I was continually invited to join groups of kids wearing silly hats and glasses. I had been asked to sing some Christmas Carols with the kids and eventually they all came onstage to join me!

The Daughters of the American Revolution of Orange County invited me to come sing the National Anthem at their dedication of the Sante Fe Train Depot, marking it an historical location. It was a very educational experience to learn how the DAR had managed to select, fund, and apply for historical significance for the Santa Fe Depot. Then to see them successfully accomplish their goals was inspiring! I have recently found out that I am eligible for the DAR and my grandmother had signed me up for it back in the Midwest, I shall find more information soon and maybe one day I too can join the DAR!

The City of Orange Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony was absolutely breath-taking! The entire Orange Circle was covered in christmas decorations and seating arrangements where crowds would later gather to hear the music compositions of famous Christmas carols. Chapman's very own COPA Dean Dr. William Hall was there as a special guest who's voice told the story of Christmas. I must admit Christmas is my favorite time of the year and the entire evening felt completely magical. I even had an opportunity to share part of the night with my sorority little Ashley Loh!

The Miss Placentia and Yorba Linda Pageant was a hit!!!! So proud to say that Ryan Osborn is the new Miss Placentia 2012!!!! I absolutely love that girl and she did an amazing job that evening! My sister queen Katie Wayland (Miss Orange County) and I had a fun time chatting and watching the show together along with our fabulous ED Connie Benson. I love our little "Glamily"
